This was the design section of my Final Major Project for my last year of university. The project was self-chosen, and is for a live-action musical film adaptation of the 1997 Fox Animation Studios film Anastasia. I designed for the characters of Anastasia, Rasputin, Empress Marie, Dimitri, Vladimir, and Bartok, and my visual themes were split between the two locations of the plot, St. Petersburg and Paris; in St. Petersburg, costumes were influenced by traditional Russian folk-wear and embroidery, and in Paris, costumes were inspired by 1920's fashions and Art Deco patterns.
