For my final project of my Textiles A-Level, I designed and produced a dress inspired by the character of Elphaba from the musical 'Wicked'. The dress has a tight corset-look bodice (made to fit me) and a full, gathered skirt, with surprise element provided by the ellaborate underskirt to one side which is revealed whilst walking or kicking. It featured a large amount of textiles elements including wool embellishment, ruffling, and steampunk-inspired embroidery.
